Entry Requirements
1. Non-Chinese citizens aged 18 to 30, in good physical and mental health (without color blindness or color weakness), who have graduated from high school or possess an equivalent academic qualification.
2. Applicants who were born as foreign nationals with one or both parents being Chinese citizens residing abroad, as well as those who have emigrated from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan to a foreign country and are applying as international students, must hold a valid foreign passport or international documentation for at least four years (inclusive) and provide proof of having actually resided abroad for more than two years within the last four years (by April 30 of the enrollment year).
3. Language Proficiency Requirements: Non-native English speakers must provide proof of English proficiency through an IELTS Academic test (with an overall score no less than 6.0 and no individual band score below 5.0), TOEFL iBT (with an overall score no less than 70 and no individual section score below 15 ), or an equivalent standardized English test. Native English speakers or applicants who have completed their previous education entirely in English are exempt from submitting English test scores but must provide official documentation from their previous institution certifying their English performance and confirming that the medium of instruction was English.
4. The previous academic performance shall meet one of the following requirements:
(1) Excellent performance in senior high school graduation examinations, with the score of mathematics no less than 70 points (out of 100 points), and the score of either physics or chemistry also no less than 70 points (out of 100 points).
(2) Having completed the Preparatory program recognized by our university and met the graduation standards.
5. A score not lower than 70 points (on a 100-point scale) in the entrance interview (conducted remotely or on campus).
6. CSCA score report: Mathematics is a compulsory subject; either Physics or Chemistry may be chosen as an additional subject.

Program Description
1. Program Overview
Editor Notes: This program aims to train medical undergraduates with systematic knowledge of basic and clinical medicine and basic abilities to work in clinical settings.
- To cultivate graduates who possess solid medical knowledge, professional clinical skills, good occupational qualities and preliminary clinical abilities.
- Help to lay a foundation for further education and the development in medical research, health administrative management, and so on.
- Aims to develop the knowledge of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, the respect for individual beliefs, life and law, as well as team spirit and creativity.
- Students are to master basic medical knowledge, and fundamental theories and skills.
- Aims to develop scientific and critical thinking, the ability to independently acquire knowledge, raise questions, analyze questions and resolve questions, as well as the ability of lifelong learning and self-development.
- Students are to basically master Chinese language and knowledge of China and Chinese culture.
2. Main Courses
Editor Notes: Students will study at least 20 relevant medical courses.
Anthropotomy, Histology and Embryology, Physiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Medical Microbiology, Immunology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Hygiene, Physical diagnostics, Medical Imageology, Experimental Diagnostics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynemetrics, Pediatrics, Neurology, Lemology, Emergency Medicine.
3. Teaching Schedule
Editor Notes: Every year there may some changes, thus it is only for reference.
School time totals to 306 weeks, with 158 weeks of teaching, 20 weeks of exam, 2 weeks of enrolment and graduation orientation, 70 weeks of graduation internship, 48 weeks of vacation and 8 weeks of flexible time.
Teaching periods total to 3713 and credits total to 276.5, with 3506 periods and 191.5credits of required courses, 255 periods and 12.5 credits of elective courses,70 credits of graduation internship and 3 credits of graduation examination (of theories and skills).

4. Assessment
Editor Notes: International students are required to abide by the rules of assessment.
Required courses are assessed with either examination or evaluation. Credits are obtained when the course is passed. Results are measured with hundred-mark system. Examinationis arranged by the university and Evaluation is conducted at the end of the course by each teaching and research division. Elective courses are assessed at the end of the course by each teaching and research division and credits are awarded with a pass. The assessment of each course should be based on the syllable. Clinical internship and other practices are assessed by each clinical medical school with skill and theory exams organized by each teaching and research division.
Inaddition to the assessment of each course, students must also pass graduation exams, which are scheduled in the 12th semester, including clinical skill exam and theoretical exam.
5. Internship
Editor Notes: Mainly clinical clerkship and internship for not less than 70 weeks.
Graduation internship is scheduled in the 10th, 11th and 12th semesters, of 70 weeks with 16 weeks of internal medicine, 16 weeks of surgery,6 weeks of obstetrics and gynecology, 6 weeks of pediatrics, 2 weeks of emergency,1 week of prevention, 1 week of nursing and 20 weeks of specialized internship or internship in home country, 2 weeks of orientation and 2 weeks ofassessment. 6. Graduation
Editor Notes: After meeting graduation requirements, international students will be awarded MBBS degree.
Students will be mainly engaged in clinical medical treatment, medical scientific research and medical teaching in medical and scientific research institutions and medical schools after graduation.
Students who complete and pass all the courses required in the curriculum, obtain required credits for elective courses, pass graduation exams and meet the graduation requirements shall be allowed to graduate.
Students who meet the requirements in "PRC Degree Regulations" and "Fujian MedicalUniversity Bachelor Degree Conferment Regulations" shall be granted Bachelor of Medicine& Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
